STEFANIA CALANDRA ACOUSTIC SET
h 9:30 pm
Blues Night

Voice and acoustic guitar - Italian blueswoman has entered the finale at Memphis IBC, the most important international blues festival, and is considered the new Bonnie Raitt after having represented Italy until the national final victory in the "duet / Soloist "within Roots and Blues
Parma Festival, July 2007. Polygonist, as well as actress of the Gigi Proietti school, is Calabria and precisely cosentina. He has a rocky and powerful voice that respects the blues rules but fits in with other genres: with The Scurvy Brothers reinterprets Steely Dan's rock, with Blues in Vein exploring the blues story. She has international performances with Lionel Richie, Phil Collins, Johnny Winter, Albert Lee, Shemekia Copeland, Bobby Dixon, Deborah Coleman, Earl Thomas, TMStevens, Keith G. Brown, Nine Below zero, Marquise Knox, Joyce E. Yuille . At national level with Massimo Ranieri Sugar Sugar Fornaciari and Raf, just to name a few, but above all, it expresses great versatility for all art in general. Beautiful and interesting lesson about Blues, called the father of modern music: "Create as jazz rock and all the genres derived from them have come to life with blues sounds. Blues is born as an evolution of work chants (shouts ) And rituals (spirituals) of African American populations a
Horse in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The first well known blues musicians (bluesmen) were born in Louisiana around New Orleans on the Mississippi River delta. The state of marginalization of these populations - he says - created strong tensions and rebellious motives, white repression was strong and very difficult to overcome. Any attempt at aggregation, communication, and solidarity between different groups was seen as a danger to be eliminated at birth. The slaves expressed through their blues their sorrow, sadness and despair, the music of a people who no longer have a land. All
This gave birth to a new conscience of the black people who found the strength to rebel and protest. The blues gave strength and hope to slaves, because blues is not just a lament but a way to forget the sufferings of
Life. "A strong woman, a successful Calabrian who is hoping to hear in our own land, from which everyone runs away. And just as blues was born from the encounter between the African music tradition and European musical instruments, at first representing the expression of A collective discomfort
Then transforming into a kind of parallel communication channel between the various communities, so we expect that the real code messages that our talents will launch are transposed in the right way.
Is accompanied for the occasion by the well-known harmonicist and singer Tarcus Howlin 'Wind with whom he has already shared many live!

SUGAR MAMAS
h 9:30 pm
Blues Night
From Mississippi's most acquiescent blues, to the typically Trasteverine coffin, with Francesca De Fazi, "Roman Blues Woman", (the title of her latest album recorded in New Orleans), "pre-eminent" blues for feminine in Italy, and SUGAR MAMAS Band all female.
The fuse that sparked the profitable partnership with De Fazi / Torresi, after having followed long parallel paths, was the friendship and collaboration with Roberto Ciotti, in fact the two Roman musicians finally have the opportunity to meet on stage, just for a Tour, in the footsteps of the Italian bluesman, up to Senegal.
He joins them Carola Iapino, "lupetta solitaria" (as he likes to define), solid drummer with various experiences including a long tour with Massimo Ranieri.
A repertoire of customized classics and songs "invented in a traditional style", with the constant challenge of pushing beyond the schemes without ever knocking, but rather surprising, with irony, sensuality and a lot of consistency.
